What do you must like about PotPlayer?

PotPlayer is the best video player I've ever found. I have tried many different video players: some of them are Gom Player, KMPlayer, DivX Player, VLC. Those players are fine, but I have always experienced some issues with them, but never with PotPlayer. For example, sometimes, depending on the format, I need to switch from Hardware processing and Software processing, which PotPlayer lets you do from the main board.

And even more than that, PotPlayer is absolutely free. Though PotPlayer gives you more features to choose from, it's also more comfortable for basic usage, and it's free! What else may I need?

Some of the best features are:

It can convert HDR videos to SDR, a rare feature within video players;

You can manually set up pixel shaders and play with the picture quality until you like it. There is no other software that I know that can do this;

PotPlayer lets you output different audio tracks to different audio devices. So you can split the audio if you have multiple audio devices;

You can move the subtitle and audio delay backwards or forwards.Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PotPlayer?

UI could be better, fancier. Right now, it's okay, but what I mean is that it could look better. It doesn't bother me much, but that's where I see some space for the upgrade.

I can't say what else. There are so many possibilities, and the app works perfectly fine out of the box for primary usage.Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is PotPlayer solving and how is that benefiting you?

I'm mainly watching videos and movies using PotPlayer. I also use it to watch our meeting recordings at the job. It supports anything I open, so I had never ended up in a situation when PotPlayer did not support some formats.

I also listen to music and my guitar recordings using PotPlayer.

To sum up, it's my primary player, either for my job or personal use, video or audio on my PC (Windows 10). I have also tried watching HEVC, which uses all of my hardware processing perfectly well, and there are no freezes too!
